JUST a LUMP IN THE ROAD is written for any young woman diagnosed with breast cancer and the amazing people who will share in her journey.
This book is a collaborative effort by six young breast cancer survivors who found each other through a support group. Together with their families they write candidly about their experiences, sharing information and insight known only to those who have "been there."
A read through their memoirs is similar to having coffee with a best friend, as secrets are divulged and modesty is not an issue. Each story is as diverse and unique as the women themselves.
Topics include: dating and mastectomies, children and mortality, treatment and hair loss. Their goals are to give a voice to the young survivor and to provide validation and encouragement to anyone battling this disease. |
